Small Italian dishes at Forza Wine

in short: Forza Wine is a good, sociable place to share small Italian plates (of which most aren’t pasta) and great wine & cocktails. It’s on a Peckham rooftop (Bussey Building), with great views of London and well-designed interiors. The staff are welcoming and attentive.

The Food

Small Italian sharing dishes

A seasonally-changing menu with plenty of meat / fish / vegetarian options to suit sharing between friends over a large wine menu and a carefully curated cocktail list. If there’s enough of you (and your group isn’t picky) they’ll serve the entire menu to share. We loved the taleggio flatbread, fennel and fontina and figs and mozzarella, with a custardo (coffee & custard!) to finish.

Who?

Forza Wine

The sister of nearby Forza Win: Forza Win started as a pop up in 2012, before moving on to bookings-only supper club nights and then a restaurant from around 2018. Forza Wine opened in 2019 alongside Forza Win as a more casual dining option with a bigger focus on drinks (if this wasn’t obvious from the name). Forza means something like ‘YOU CAN DO IT’, if you were wondering.

Where?

Peckham

Entry is via the Rye Lane front of Bussey Building, where a lift takes you to the roof which is an incredibly beautiful setting with views across London. They have outdoor and indoor seating, which has been made weather-proof for the winter this year. You can stay for food or drinks - they’ve worked hard sourcing the best of both. Walk in s are now available but it's recommended to book in advance.
